Product Description

The military gilding metal clad steel strip is made of high quality special steel as the base material and H90(C22000) brass as the composite material. The technology of warm pressing and high processing rate (forming complete mechanical meshing between brass and steel) and high temperature heat treatment infiltration process (mutual infiltration between Cu and Fe molecules) are adopted. Therefore, there is a metallurgical bonding layer composed of mutually permeable copper and iron between two metals, so that copper and steel can be permanently bonded without splitting, and can be processed as a single metal. The military gilding metal clad steel strip combines the characteristics of two metals. It has the advantages of corrosion resistance, lubrication, wear resistance and beauty of H90(C22000)brass metal. It also has high strength and good ductility of special steel. The good comprehensive performance of gilding metal clad steel manufactured by warm pressing infiltration composite production method is unmatched by manufactured by traditional composite method. In addition to having the common characteristics of high strength, good heat resistance, thermal stability, plasticity, corrosion resistance and wear resistance of composite materials, compared with the traditional composite process, produced by warm pressing infiltration process has the following advantages:
A: High dimensional accuracy, which is conducive to improving the quality of bullets;
B: The composite has good consistency,  so as to ensure the consistency of warhead and cartridge case;
C: One batch has large weight and can be processed continuously,  which greatly improves the production efficiency of bullets;
D: It has excellent surface quality, and comparable to pure copper.
